Alex Colard

As a visual artist, painter, book publisher, and event organizer, Alex Colard has woven his creative journey through diverse cultural landscapes. From his birthplace in France to the vibrant streets of New York, where he lived for 11years, he now resides in Stockholm since 2017.  In his artistic practice, Colard explores themes of loss and connection, influenced by personal life chapters, his background in architecture, and a fascination with ancient civilizations. His current collection, which began in 2020, reflects his quest to sacred sites around the world, including Teotihuacan in Mexico and Borobudur in Indonesia, where he sought to find her spirit in temples, ruins, and churches. Today, Colard’s artistic research is a continual exploration of the intersections between history, humanity, and technology. He is excited to integrate laser engraving into his practice, pushing the boundaries of how art can be experienced and understood.
